Online Bone Marrow Drive for Kenna Emmons

Kenna Emmons from Montana was diagnosed with an extremely rare immune deficiency (Combined Immune Deficiency Syndrome) and needs a bone marrow transplant (BMT). She was scheduled to undergo the procedure on Dec. 30, 2008, but the transplant did not happen due to complications with her donor. Kenna now needs another donor.

Kenna is not alone. Every day there are children that require a BMT to survive. This drive will not only benefit Kenna, but each and every one of them, too. Because of a donor drive that was held in honor of Kenna, a child is receiving a BMT...we’ve saved one life...now let’s save some more!

Getting tested to be on the registry is very simple. Just visit http://join.marrow.org and sign up to receive the home testing kit. You have to swab the four quadrants of your mouth using a Q-tip. It is absolutely a private matter and completely anonymous. If you choose to meet the transplant recipient and both parties agree you may do so one full calendar year post-BMT.

It’s super easy, it doesn’t hurt and it could very possibly save a life...maybe Kenna’s.

IMPORTANT: Use promo code CARING4KENNA049 to pay only $25 for the test.
