Being the parent of a child with histiocytosis, pediatric cancer or another life-threatening disease is not easy nor something for which any parent asks. One amazing and incredibly strong histio mom recently summed up how many histio parents likely feel in dealing with this disease:
I know it could always be worse. It is just frustrating when you feel something is wrong but nobody will listen to you ... I have my days where I want to bury my head in the sand and not think about it ... But that is out of the question. We will continue to seek answers and tell each doctor we come in contact with ... It has to make sense to someone.THANK YOU to everyone who refuses to stick their head in the sand and keeps looking for answers by asking questions and advocating for their children in the fight against histiocytosis.
