Emily’s Rainbow Fund became part of Rainbow Circle of Friends in February 2007. The mission of the Fund is to donate proceeds raised through fund raising events to support pediatric cancer research at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.

In August 2006, Emily Lewis was diagnosed with a type of childhood kidney cancer called Wilms tumor. The surgery to remove her tumor and kidney was successful, but the cancer had also spread throughout her lungs. Emily endured several surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy and radiation sessions to her lungs and abdomen. Unfortunately, her cancer came back in her lungs 3 months after initial treatment ended. Emily is currently in her 3rd year of on-going therapy. We are hopeful that a cure can be found for her. Emily has already lost a kidney, many days of school and part of her childhood to cancer, but she has never lost her smile, her warmth, her strength or her desire to learn, laugh and be a young girl. Emily is truly an inspiration to all who know her.

You can learn more about Emily, her battle against cancer and how you can participate or support this event on the Emily's Rainbow Fund website.
